A quick freelance project I did recently was the album art for Corey Vidal and ApprenticeA’s latest music video As Long As You Like Me, a parody of the Justin Bieber song As Long As You Love Me. The music video is beautifully shot (and has some pretty sweet dancing), so definitely check it out after the jump if you haven’t seen it yet.
Corey wanted me to imitate Justin Bieber’s original album covers, so it was easy enough to put together the basic layout. The harder part was deciding which screenshot from the video to use, so below you can see some of the options I put together before Corey chose the final version above.
I actually ended up making some of the color effects using light stocks that I took at my senior prom in high school 6 years ago (has it really been that long?) Just goes to show you never know when you’ll need to return to resources you created years ago, so keep everything organized so you can get back to it in the future!
