3 Ways to Wrap Gifts – Craft Supply Swap with Sea Lemon

_photo_1
The Holiday DIYs have begun! Today on HGTV Handmade, I did a craft supply swap with Sea Lemon and used the supplies she sent me to make these adorably wrapped Christmas presents. Keep reading to check out the full DIY video and see more photos!

This was the third video for my week on HGTV Handmade. Earlier in the week I posted a fun game of Crafting M*A*S*H with Lauren Fairweather, and then a giant collab video with all of the HGTV Handmade girls along with the Property Brothers playing Crafting Pictionary.

I will be totally honest that I really struggled with this challenge. I only ended up using three of the supplies that Jennifer sent me, because many of the others just wouldn’t have fit into my Christmas color scheme. In the end I think the gifts turned out really nice though! I never would have thought to do a polka dot pattern like this using the end of a straw without this challenge.

For the second gift, I used the sponges Jennifer sent me to make an organic design using white paint and gold gilding paint. I actually really do love how it came out, though I did use up all my red ribbon on that giant bow, so I’ve got to go get some more!

And for the final gift, I decorated the front with a Christmas stocking, and then my favorite part is the hand-lettered To and From in a white chalk pen. I may wrap my real Christmas gifts this exact same way!

Make sure you stay tuned to HGTV Handmade during the week of December 14th to see all the supplies I sent to Sea Lemon and see what she makes using them. I think I went a little easier on her and sent more Christmas-y types of supplies, so I’m sure she’ll make something amazing. In the meantime, check out my video from last year about 3 Ways to Make Gift Bows, as well as the really fun Crafting Pictionary video with the Property Brothers if you missed it earlier this week. Hope everyone is having a great start to the holiday season!
