My Apartment Tour + Craft Supply Tour

title
Today I have two videos that have been highly requested for a long time now – a full apartment tour, and a tour of all of my craft supplies. Keep reading to check out the videos and to see more photos of the apartment!

living_room_2
The living room *gestures grandly with hands*

living_room
This apartment isn’t huge, but I just love how stylish it is, with the modern gray walls and the gray hardwood floors. We decided to go with a gray/white color scheme in our furniture, and got rid of all of the black furniture from the previous apartment, since that just tends to suck all the light out of the room.

living_couch
The couch is from IKEA, and I bought it when I first moved to California four years ago. The pillow is from Wayfair, the gray blanket is from IKEA, and the teal blanket was a gift at a Kin Community event I went to last year.

living_coffee_table
I feel like I looked at every coffee table on the internet before we decided on this one. Our criteria were that it was white, that it had a glass top and a shelf to display things underneath, and that it was under $300 or so. It turns out not a whole lot of coffee tables like that exist, so we went with this IKEA table and I think it looks great in this room, plus it was way under budget!

living_globe
This chalkboard globe is from Wayfair, but it would be an easy DIY to make out of an existing globe you already own. The doodles are by my friend Avian Anderson.

kitchen
One of the biggest draws to this apartment was the gorgeous kitchen. Our old kitchen was outdated and ugly, and this one just feels so modern and clean. Plus we have a dishwasher!

The dining room area is also my craft studio and is where I film all my DIY videos. In the craft supply tour video, I show you what’s inside every single one of those storage boxes.

IMG_1698
I recently got a third glass jar to keep my washi tape in, since my collection just keeps growing!

IMG_1689
I keep my markers and paintbrushes and pens organized in white flowerpots from IKEA.

IMG_1675
In the other corner of the living room is a wardrobe from Wayfair where I keep the rest of my craft supplies (I wanted to link the exact one I bought, but it doesn’t seem to be on the site anymore). I thought I would need to get something custom-built, but this wardrobe ended up being the exact size and color I wanted!

IMG_1664
If you don’t want to shell out for a fancy wrapping paper holder, just use an old trash can! This is also where I keep my extra flowers and tall rulers.

IMG_1640
To be honest, a lot of the craft supply tour consisted of: This drawer is kind of miscellaneous…but *I* know where everything is!

IMG_1647
There is no way that I would be able to keep all my small supplies organized without these craft boxes. I have seven of them now and I’ll probably need another two or three soon!

IMG_1655
I also have four of the smaller ones, which house smaller craft supplies!

room_1
Moving on to my room, I’m so happy to finally show you guys what it looks like. It was such a mess for the first few months that I lived here, but now everything has a place and I love how it came out.

room_bed
My duvet cover and pillowcases are both from Urban Outfitters. The colorful throw pillows are from Wayfair, the broccoli plushie is from IKEA, and the hippogriff plushie is from the Harry Potter Theme Park.

room_bookshelf
I got to take my custom corner bookshelf with me to the new apartment. It was a bit stressful though, because it was slightly too big to fit through the doorway, so I had to call up the carpenter who originally built it to take it apart and reassemble it in my new room. Moving day always brings some sort of surprise!

room_books
I just love that out of 15 books on the bookshelf here, nine have to do with Harry Potter. That wasn’t even intentional!

room_magazines
Even though I work for HGTV now, I’m still such a fangirl. Here we have every episode of HGTV Magazine ever printed plus my Property Brother Bobbleheads.

room_desks
My favorite part of the room has to be my two desks. They’re both from IKEA, and I covered them in marble and gold contact paper!

room_desk_organizer
And here we have my adorable desk organizer. It’s so cute!

room_laptop
My laptop stickers are from Dream Gal Designs. She mailed me a few to my PO Box and I just had to order more from her so I could cover my entire laptop.

room_desk_shelves
I tend to overcrowd basically every shelf, so for these two, I tried to keep it fairly minimalist with a fake cactus, an extra camera, my Instax Printer, and a USB Drive that looks like a mini camera.

room_nail_polish
Of course my Essie nail polishes need to be on display. That Barbie pink polish on the end is my new obsession and is what I’ve been wearing in all of my recent videos.

room_2
My shoe rack was a little too big to fit in the closet, but I actually like having it where it is, since it helps section off the “dressing area.”

room_jewelry
On my vanity desk, I have a necklace organizer that I separated into silver and gold necklaces one day when I was bored. I have so many but it seems like I always reach for the same two or three!

room_makeup
I also have a ton of makeup that I’ve gotten for free at various events, but I only ever use about six different products. The tinted Burts Bees lip balm is my favorite!

rob_room
Moving on to Rob’s room, he obviously has much less stuff than I do, so his room kind of looks like it’s straight out of an IKEA catalog.

rob_bookshelf
Pretty much everything except this bookshelf is from IKEA. I really love how his room turned out!

bathroom
And finally, the bathroom. It feels a bit weird to be posting a photo of my bathroom on the internet, but I told you I’d give you the full tour, so there it is.

I hope you guys liked seeing where I live! Let me know if you made it through the entirety of both videos, or what your favorite part of the apartment was. Thank you so much for reading, and I will see you guys next time!
