I decided to make the first camera strap out of nylon rope, and use neon pink string as an accent color. The pink string also reinforces the glue holding it all together.

You could just add accent colors along the ends of the strap like above, or add stripes all the way down the camera strap to bring even more color to your project!

For the second one, I decided to braid the camera strap using nine strands of the pink string. This makes a thick rope that’s definitely strong enough to support the camera. I also added some little tassels to the sides where the excess string was poking out. This one did come out a little shorter than I hoped though, so I would recommend cutting your string really long, and then you can trim it down once you see exactly how much the braiding shortens it.

I hope you guys liked those DIY Camera Straps! I think they’re really cute, and I love how they came out! If you just use your phone as a camera though, I have a fun phone case DIY for you where we’re making designs out of Perler Beads, and you can check out that video right here. Or if you missed Monday’s DIY, I showed you how to make Ric Rac Flowers that just came out so, so cute. Thanks for reading!
