Today I’m launching a new series on my channel – Duct Tape Recreate!* The idea is that I want you guys to challenge me to recreate various fashion items out of duct tape. Since this is the first episode, I had to pick the first one on my own, and I went with this Betsey Johnson Unicorn Purse. Check out the DIY video below to learn how to make it!

I would love it if you guys could head on over to the YouTube video to suggest more fashion items for me to recreate! I also want to make it clear that by doing this series, I’m not saying that my version is better in any way than the original or that the original isn’t worth the money. The duct tape version definitely isn’t nearly as durable as the real one would be – instead, I hope I can inspire you guys to feel empowered to make the things you want, especially if you’re on a budget and can’t afford to spend a lot of money on fashion items. I’m also trying to share some duct tape DIY techniques that you can apply either to this exact project or to any duct tape project you might do in the future, whether it’s an everyday purse or a costume piece.
