DIY Metallic Christmas Tree Skirt, Wall Art, & Wrapping Paper ~ Holiday 2016

Today I’ve got more DIY Christmas Decorations for you, including a tree skirt, two easy wall art ideas, and metallic wrapping paper! I love all of them, so keep reading to learn how to make them!

I made this tree skirt out of white felt and gold sequin trim, and even though it did take a while to sew on all the sequins, it was really easy to make, and I love how it came out! I think the white tree skirt is such a nice neutral color underneath the green tree, and the gold sequins give it a bit of shine!

I styled it with pinecones that I painted with gold gilding paint!

Next I made two pieces of holiday wall art. The bold text design is made out of just wrapping paper, cardstock, and letter stickers. When my friends saw it, they all said it was “very non-denominational”!

stockings
I also wanted to make metallic stockings, so to make sure they were really shiny (and to make sure I didn’t have to spend a fortune on fabric), I decided to make them out of scrapbook paper. They’re so easy to make you could even fill an entire wall with them as makeshift Christmas “wallpaper.”

This DIY wasn’t one I planned on, but when I saw this glittery deer head at Michaels, I thought it would be so cute mounted on a wooden plaque!

And finally, all you have to do to make this metallic wrapping paper is mask off your design with painters tape and then spray paint the craft paper. I love how easy is it, so you could make a different design for every present you have to wrap!

I hope you guys like these holiday DIYs, and be sure to check out last week’s video for another five easy DIY ideas for decorating your apartment! And be sure to stay tuned until Friday for a full tour of ALL of my Christmas decorations. Thanks so much for reading!
