Project for Awesome Identity Design
Full identity design for the 2010 Project for Awesome, an annual event on YouTube in which thousands of video bloggers upload videos about charities they support. I designed the logo, website, and thumbnail template, while designers at YouTube used my designs to create the custom YouTube logo and the site layout for the live show.
Halloween YouTube Logo - Blog post
Custom YouTube “yoodle”, which was seen on every page of YouTube on Halloween 2010. This was the first ever user-designed custom YouTube logo.
VlogBrothers Video Graphics – Blog post
Video graphics designed for various VlogBrothers videos. These videos regularly get around 200,000 views.

Lauren Fairweather Business Cards and Ukulele - Blog post
Custom identity design for musician Lauren Fairweather. This was my first (and so far only) ukulele design, and Lauren frequently uses it during live performances.
VidCon Poster - Blog post
Poster designed for VidCon, a YouTube conference held during summer 2010. The poster was distributed at tabloid size to all 1,300 attendees of the conference and was the cover to the informational book all attendees also received.
Triple Rainbow Awesome Tour Poster - Blog post
Designed for the tour put on in Fall 2010 by several popular YouTube musicians, including ALL CAPS, Skyway Flyer, Mike Lombardo, and Alex Carpenter.

Tour poster designed for the Harry Potter podcast Pottercast. The poster was never used, but I enjoyed designing it just for fun.
Tour de Nerdfighting Poster
Designed for the Tour de Nerdfighting 2008, put on by John and Hank Green of the YouTube channel Vlogbrothers, which currently has over 400,000 subscribers. A colored and hyperlinked version can be seen at www.papertowns.com.

Back cover and inside tray design for Hank Green’s second album This Machine Pwns N00bs. Hank is one half of the Vlogbrothers, who have over 400,000 subscribers on YouTube. The CD is still available for purchase from DFTBA Records.

T-shirt, tote bag, and frisbee designs for the wizard rock band The Moaning Myrtles. These were sold at several live shows and are among their best-selling merchandise items.

YouTube News Website Concept – Blog post
Preliminary designs for a social networking and statistics website for the dedicated members of the YouTube community. It is partly inspired by VidStatsx and TheWillofDC. YouTube themselves considered funding it, but in the end declined.

Website design for Knightley Academy, the Young Adult novel by Violet Haberdasher. The website can be seen at www.knightleyacademy.com.
Zombicorns Book Layout – Blog post
Book layout for Zombicorns by New York Times Bestselling Author John Green. The book was written for the Project for Awesome 2010 raffle and only distributed online as a PDF. The illustration on the cover was done by LoriDays.
