   Hi. I am Karen.

   I am nineteen years old and originally from New Jersey. I am a junior at the Rhode Island School of Design in
   Providence, RI. Graphic design has become my passion, growing steadily since when I first experimented (badly)
   in Photoshop when I was twelve. I used to be scared that when I started taking actual design classes at RISD, I
   would lose interest and become bored. In fact, the opposite has happened. I find typography fascinating and I
   want to learn as much as I can so I can do this for the rest of my life.

   If you are a professional graphic designer, you might find some of my work a bit odd. You will probably notice
   many pieces are based on the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. This is because I am an active participant in
   the Harry Potter fandom, specifically the wizard rock community, which is music about Harry Potter. Rest assured
   that I take this work very seriously because good design is good design, no matter what context it is found in.
