Today I am happy to announce the launch of my new jewelry line Karen Kavett Jewelry! In the comments of my videos, I’ve gotten a ton of questions asking where I get all my cool necklaces, and the truth is that most of them I’ve had custom made. One of the most popular necklaces is the silver ampersand, so that is the first design I produced to kick off this jewelry line. The ampersands are cut out of 3mm silver mirrored acrylic and measure approximately 2.5″ x 2″. They’re so shiny!
The chains are 18″ silver chains (at least silver colored, I’m not exactly what metal they’re made of). They close with a spring ring clasp. And the charm moves around on the chain, so you can always take it off and switch out the chains if you already own one you like better.

The key chain features the same silver ampersand, just on a key chain rather than a necklace.
Perfect to use as a backpack zipper pull, or to hold your keys, or to decorate anything else in the world! (Maybe a Christmas ornament? That would be so pretty.)
But, let’s step back a minute. When I got the ampersands made, they were shipped to me in big acrylic sheets, which I had to separate out and remove all of the protective film.
I then proceeded to have fun stacking them up and looking at all the pretty light effects.
This is the back texture of the ampersand, just a nice simple gray which still looks good even if the necklace gets turned around.
To put them together, I had to attach a jump ring to each ampersand (my hands were quite tired after using pliers for several hours straight).
Then I attached the necklaces and key chains and packaged them into individual bags with Karen Kavett Jewelry Stickers. This is exactly what you’ll get when you order them from DFTBA.
So many key chains and necklaces! I was freaking out when I mailed them to Alan that they would get lost in the mail and the whole thing would crash and burn.
