In last week’s video, I showed you guys how I reorganized my craft supplies and my bookshelves, but when I got to organizing my magazines, I didn’t really have a good method, beyond an ugly cereal box magazine holder I made in about two seconds. So this week, I thought I would show you guys how I made some new magazine holders out of cardboard and duct tape! Keep reading after the jump for more photos!
The materials list includes: cardboard, x-acto knife, ruler, duct tape (of various colors), hot glue gun, and optionally, silver alligator clips and a photocopied cover of a magazine. It’s all really basic supplies – I didn’t have to spend any money on this project!
I put together this graphic to show you guys the measurements I used, but you can make them at any size that works for you.
Yes, I see the irony in a black and white photocopy of the Color issue of HGTV Magazine.
The magazines are so colorful and pretty. I’m so happy I finally have a place to display them properly!
I got these silver clips at Staples for just a couple of dollars. They look so much more sophisticated than plain black ones!
Gratuitous photos of pretty magazine pages.
The magazine holders look so nice on my bookshelf and I really want to make a whole rainbow of them now to hold all of my other magazines! Thanks so much for reading, and stay tuned for even more crafting videos!
