I’m back on HGTV Handmade this week, and today I have another fun and easy project for you guys. We’re going to be making miniature hot air balloons out of paper, either to hang or as magnets. Keep reading for the full DIY!
I LOVE how these came out! I think hot air balloons are so cute, and these are great because you can make them in any color or any size you want!
These are really quick to make, especially if you have a friend helping you. I think they would look adorable for a baby shower or in a mobile in a baby’s bedroom.
And don’t feel like you need to stick to just one color. You can alternate two colors or even use four different colors!
You can also play with the size. This one is teeny-tiny, but I bet a larger one would look great too.
Or, if you don’t have anywhere to hang them, you can also turn them into magnets. Just make one half of the hot air balloon, and mount it on museum board or cardboard. Glue magnets to the back instead of adding a loop to the top, and you’re done.
I think kids would love playing with these on a fridge!
I hope you guys liked that project, and if you want another hot air balloon DIY, you can check out these larger balloons that I made out of paper lanterns. And make sure you’re subscribed to HGTV Handmade for two more DIY videos from me this week!
