I know I’ve been talking about this like crazy on my videos, but I wanted to make a post here as well with some pretty pictures of my new merchandise! I had the idea for this poster about two months ago, and I couldn’t believe no one had ever done it when I Googled it. Basically, it shows an ampersand from a font beginning with each letter of the alphabet, along with some info about who designed the font and when.
I spend forever deciding on the colors for this poster, since there were so many directions I could go. In the end, I stuck with a goldenrod and dark gray color scheme, and if this one sells well, I might make posters for other punctuation marks in other colors as well!
The bookmarks came about because at VidCon, I wanted to give away something that wasn’t just a business card, so I made some bookmarks to hand out. They got such a good response that I decided to make a new pack of bookmarks to sell, so people who didn’t go to VidCon could still get them.
I also decided to sign one bookmark from each pack and make it a bit of a trading card style, where you don’t know what kind of signature you’ll get until they ship out. In the video above I break down exactly how I went about signing them and which special signatures to look out for, including some with a special dft.ba link that will send you to an exclusive video from me!
